Melton South Primary School acknowledges the Wurundjeri People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we learn and play. We value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture. We recognise the First People’s connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to Elders, both past, present and emerging.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Everyone has the right to be SAFE
Everyone has the right to be RESPECTED
Everyone has the right to LEARN

END OF TERM: I hope all students, families and staff have a happy and safe holiday. Even though it was only a 9 week term there has been so much happening including NAPLAN, sporting events, incursions, open Respectful Relationships morning and celebrating Harmony Week.

TERM 2: Students in both grades 3 and 4 have been given the opportunity to participate in a swimming program which is fully funded by the Department of Education. Other grades will be doing a water safety program at school later in the year.

EAT UP: We would like to thank Eat Up for supporting our school with lunches for students needing food support.

CRAZY HAT PARADE: This morning we had our Crazy Hat Parade. It was so great to see so many families come and join in the fun. I was so proud of our grade 5 students who hosted the parade. They entertained us with their jokes and enthusiastically introduced all the grades. Students and staff wore some very creative hats.

WELLBEING TEAM: At Melton South Primary School we have an amazing wellbeing team. Tonya, Tina, Susan-Lee, Maraid, Megan, Sue, Nicole and Lisa are always here to support students, families and staff in times of need. We are so lucky to have such a team that is so committed to the health and wellbeing of all members of our school community.
