END OF TERM: What a very busy term we have had. Some of the highlights were our parades, discos, school EXPO, Father’s Day Stall, French incursion and other excursions. We also had many students represent our school in hockey, netball, soccer, basketball and district athletics. We had a very successful Pasta and Pamper evening for mums and children. Grade 3 students also had a week of swimming lessons. Countdown to Prep program has been held fortnightly to give our 2024 Preps an opportunity to experience activities in a school setting prior to starting.

2024: We are already planning for 2024 so if you know your child/ren will be moving schools, please let us advise by the school email, melton.south.ps@education.vic.gov.au We are also taking Prep enrolments for next year, please see the office staff for more information.

CIRCUS QUIRKUS LIVE SHOW: Our 2023 sold-out CIRCUS QUIRKUS LIVE SHOW was a huge success! Due to overwhelming demand, we are giving Melton South Primary School students and their families free online streaming access to our 2023 FAMILY VARIETY SHOW during the school holidays. FOOTY PARADE: We are really looking forward to our footy parade tomorrow. It is always lots of fun and a great way to finish up the term. Our House Captains will be running footy activities throughout the day for all students.

GALA DAY: Don’t forget to book your tickets for the Gala Day, they are free but you will need the QR code to gain entry to the event. We are busy planning the day which we are all looking forward to.

If you know any former students or staff members can you please let them know the Gala Day is on.

LOST PROPERTY:  We have so many jumpers, water bottles, lunch boxes,hats etc that are not named. We have staff members allocated to different areas of the school so if items are named they can be returned to students.

BINAP PRIMARY SCHOOL: The new school in Brookfield will be opening in 2024. It will be zoned as all government  schools are in Melton. To find out if you are in the zone, Google Find my School and type in your address, select enrolment year and primary school. If you decide to enrol your child/ren at the new school please email me on melton.south.ps@education.vic.gov.au  As your childr/ren are already enroled at Melton South Primary they can continue at our school if that is what you choose to do. If you do decide to enrol at Binap and you are not in our zone you won’t be able to re-enrol at MSPS.

CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS

Memorabilia is still available to order through Compass and will be on sale on Saturday, October 21st during the Gala Open Day. FOOTY DAY PARADE

On Friday 15th September we will be holding a footy day parade in the quadrangle at 9:10am. Students can dress up in their favourite footy gear (AFL or other codes or sports). Parents are welcome to attend the parade.

Each day, MSPS students work their way up the learning ladder through following our school values, showing Respect, Kindness, and striving to do their best every day. Enrolment Week
We will be at the Botanica Springs Children’s and Community Centre (next to the school site) on the following dates:
Tuesday 3rd October – 9:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday 4th October – 9:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Thursday 5th October – 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

No booking necessary.

Please come along to collect enrolment forms or to bring completed enrolment forms
All enrolments received by 5 p.m. on Friday 6th October will go into a draw to win $100 worth of school uniform.

This includes all enrolments already received.

DJERRIWARRAH FESTIVAL
Expression of Interest

Dear Parents/ Careers,
We are pleased to announce that the Djerriwarrah Festival will return this year on Saturday the 11th of November 2023. Melton South Primary School will be participating in the annual Djerriwarrah Festival Parade with a walking float.

This year’s theme is ‘Stories that connect us’. We have chosen to celebrate Melton South Primary School’s 100 years by dressing up as 100 year olds. If you and/or your child is interested in attending this event, please fill out this form and return it to the office or your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible, as planning will begin in Term 4.
