When they reach the top they are recorded with an Outstanding day on their token acknowledgement chart.  When a student reaches a significant milestone of Outstanding days, they earn a badge, here is where we celebrate students who have worked hard to achieve their milestone badges.

SPORTS REPORT

GIRLS AFL

Our grade 5/6 Girls did an excellent job representing Melton South Primary School.  Their effort on the field was amazing.  They started off a little nervous considering a lot of them had never played before, but once the first whistle went off, they were right into the game.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS on a wonderful effort.  Good luck next year. 😀

5/6 Interschool Sport-Last Friday at Aintree PS

It was an amazing display of skill and sportsmanship from our wonderful representatives in the Round 2 teams for 5/6 AFL, Tee-ball, and Netball.

In Tee-ball the girls had a win and the boys lost their game.  There was great sportsmanship all round. Well done to everyone.

The Netball team played with great teamwork and great sportsmanship but Aintree was the better team on the day.

The Football team showed skillful and impressive teamwork. It was pleasing to see them supporting the other team who had many players new to the game. With their strong skills on display, the ball moved so quickly that it allowed them to penetrate the forward 50 more than once in the first 10 minutes of the first quarter which also set them up for a dominating game.

Grade 4 Melbourne United Basketball Clinic

Adam, who is the Schools and Community Programs Facilitator, ran basketball clinics with MSPS students who were smiling from ear to ear to learn from such an amazing professional. They enjoyed every bit of their time with him. Thank you Melbourne United and Adam.

We also thank Kylie Collison for organising these sessions.

GRADE 3 EXCURSION TO THE FAIRY PARK
On Tuesday the 16th of May the Grade 3s went to the Fairy Park. The early rain was all gone by the time we arrived at Anakie at 10am. The students learned about volcanoes in the Victorian Volcanic Plains and the many rock formations formed by eruptions that occurred over 10,000 years ago. The buses were comfortable and fancy, like a hotel!

We had a snack and then the first of the groups set off on the Scavenger hunt. It was fun and sometimes challenging trying to find all the answers to the fairy tales that were collected by the Brothers Grimm. The Camelot Castle Playground was a favourite!

“The Aladdin cave was dark and then there were lights and it was colourful.” – Angelique 3D.

Students really liked the castles, running rivers, and water wheels.

The teachers were very proud of our MSPS students for treating the park facilities with respect and cleaning up all our food packaging, and the park owner Garry was impressed with the way our students conducted themselves throughout the day. Well done Grade 3s!
