Melton South Primary School acknowledges the Wurundjeri People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we learn and play. We value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture. We recognise the First People’s connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to Elders, both past, present and emerging.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Everyone has the right to be SAFE
Everyone has the right to be RESPECTED
Everyone has the right to LEARN

BOOK WEEK PARADE: We had a fantastic parade with so many students and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters. Many parents commented that the staff were having as much fun as the students.

FRENCH DAY: The artwork on display in the administration block corridor is exceptional. The French performances held in the gym yesterday were a credit to our French teachers and our students.

PARENT OPINION  SURVEY: As of today only 27 families out of 500 have completed the Parent Opinion Survey. We need the feedback from the survey so we can plan for future years. Our school review will be held in term 1 2025, from this and results from staff, student and parent surveys we will develop our new Strategic Plan. Please assist us by completing the survey.

OVAL CLOSURE: Last week we started some new clubs at lunch time. A running club, lego club and French Art class have all commenced. We also have introduced MSPS Got Talent. Students interested in entering have been asked to start rehearsing their acts. Students can do solo or group acts. Some acts suggested by the Student Voice Group were singing, dancing, magic, circus tricks or cultural dancing. The judging panel will consist of myself, some staff and members of the Student Voice Group. The PE teachers are running a Down Ball tournament for grade 3/4 students this week and for 5/6 students next week.
