COUNTDOWN TO PREP: Our Countdown to Prep program started this morning. Engaging and fun activities led by Prep teachers will give your child a head start to school and become more familiar with our school environment. Bookings are essential to ensure enough resources can be prepared for your child.
FAMILY NIGHT: We are looking forward to our Design and Create with Mum. There are 3 activities that families have selected from:
– Decorating terracotta pots
– Building wooden creations
– Step by step painting class and origami
Please note only families who have booked are able to attend this event.
PREP ENROLMENTS 2025: Prep enrolments are now open for next year. If you have a child commencing Prep in 2025 please contact the office for a pre- enrolment form.
LIGHTNING PREMIERSHIP: We wish all the students representing our school in the lightning premiership on Friday all the best. We know they will show excellent sportsmanship.

PREP FAIRY TALE INCURSION
To celebrate the completion of our ‘Traditional Fairy Tales Unit’ of Investigations and the end of Term 2, the Prep team will be running a Fairy Tale incursion on Tuesday June 25th. Students will rotate through a variety of interactive fairy tale related activities, run by the Prep team. Students are also encouraged to dress up as their favourite fairy tale character.
We also ask for donations of yarn, paper cups, cotton balls and cereal boxes, which can be given to your child’s classroom teacher.

PEER LEADER BADGE
In order to achieve a peer leader badge, the grade 6 students must complete a minimum of 35 days of home reading each term, and fulfil at least 3 of the following requirements, set out in the table below.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
CAMPS, SPORTS & EXCURSIONS FUND (CSEF)
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions, or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is $150.
HOW TO APPLY
New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or print of the one attached to this newsletter.
If you applied for CSEF at your child’s school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:
- new student enrolments; your child has started or changed schools this year.
- changed family circumstances; such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.
Applications close on 26 June 2024
NO FURTHER APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED after this date.
