The school council aims to foster in students and the school community a sense of identity and pride in Melton South Primary School.

School uniform is compulsory for all students.

Melton South Primary School is a Sun Smart school and therefore hats are to be worn outside, during Terms 1 & 4. Children who are not wearing school hats will be asked to play or sit in the shade. Students representing the school on an excursion or involved in sport should wear school uniform. Families who cannot provide their children with the school uniform should contact the Principal to discuss the matter. If a student cannot wear a uniform item on a particular day he/she should have a note of explanation from his/her parent. Parents will be informed of the Uniform Policy through repeated articles in the School Newsletter, Information Nights and School Assemblies. Parents will be asked to take responsibility for ensuring that all clothing is clearly labelled with the child’s name and that students wear our uniform. Parents will be contacted when a student is not in uniform for a continuous period without an explanation.
